The Irish naval vessel LE Niamh arrived in Palermo, Italy on August 6, 2015 with over 350 migrants on board amid fears that hundreds more may have drowned after their overcrowded fishing boat capsized off the coast of Libya in the Mediterranean. The naval vessel also carried the bodies of 25 victims, reports Newzulu contributor Antonio Melita. According to the Irish Navy, LE Niamh is helping conduct a major search and rescue operation, but hopes of finding additional survivors are fading.
